How To Prevent Vaginal Infections
 
Wear cotton underwear and loose fitting pants and skirts
   
Avoid pantyhose (wear thigh or knee high hosiery)
   
Do not use bubble bath or any perfumed creams or soaps
   
Avoid getting shampoo on the vulva area
   
Check for possible allergies such as perfumes, food etc. Such allergies can cause irritation
   

·     Take care that bacteria from the bowel does not enter the vagina; always wipe yourself from front to back

   

·      Use 100% cotton menstrual pads and tampons. Avoid panty liners. Change tampons and menstrual pads on a regular basis

   

·      Do not have sex when you are not well lubricated. Do not use lubricants with petrochemical related ingredients

   
If you suffer from thrush, a sugar free eating plan might be of help
